Jaywalkin'

I am still making progress on my first Jaywalker sock! And I'm happy to report that I am still loving this pattern. I've already tried on what I've knitted so far and it feels like it is going to fit perfectly. If I actually had more time in my life to devote to knitting, this sock would already be finished. It's not finished yet, but it's looking pretty good.

One thing that is really interesting about using this colorway is how it stripes in different ways. It stripes one way in the patterned part of the sock, another way in the heel flap and a third (and wildly different) way in the turned heel.

A closeup of the heel stripes.

This is the first time I've used a yarn that seems to self-stripe. Typically a bright pink and green yarn and the changing stripes throughout the sock might not appeal to me, but I have to say I am really liking this sock so much. It's just fun. :)

That sock looks great! I haven't done Jaywalkers yet, but its really only a matter of time I'm afraid.
